[Hm, he will let him explore, then. His curiosity is fascinating. He must not get close to humans very often, though the same could be said for himself and the Fae, having only learned of them in books.]
And that will be the wretched difference between our realms. Such a scandal could be terribly detrimental to my rule. I'd been but a week, and I'd prefer to quell any revolts yet, at least until I am properly settled on the throne.
[Ah? That makes him pause as he looks towards the window. Oh. Oh, there is his court, he assumed.]
[My, look at how different they all are. He gives them all a curious, scrutinizing look before he hums.]
Allow me to get dressed first, and once I am decent they may come in.
This is his first time interacting with humans. Oh, like Seamus, he's read about them. He's asked questions about them. He's been in the human realm and observed. But Seamus is his first one on one.
He hums in agreeance in a manner that says well I suppose. Though with a Fae husband, all he needs is point out his dissenters and Viri will figure out a way to take care of it. And he watches as his darlings eyes go to the window and he laughs lightly to the look he gives the group.
The group gives looks back, clearly sizing him up. The Unseelie look Unimpressed. There might be some very rude gestures. Which get the Seelie in a disgusted uproar and a small fight breaks out. The toad flees. ]
Oh? Are you not dressed? Do you mean to say you will disrobe and rerobe?
[ He cast his eyes thoughtfully up and down Seamus' body. Delighted. His gaze is playfully salacious. ]
[Yes, he is beginning to get the idea that his husband-to-be will be very efficient in keeping assassins and dissenters away and he tries not to think of how powerful that thought is, that he might have someone at his side that can ensure their rule on the human end of things.]
[He thinks perhaps he will work very hard to insist this marriage go through for a whole list of reasons.]
[Anyway, his expression is rather unyielding as they look at him, but he does not give them much more beyond that initial surprise before he turns his gaze back to Viri. The fighting goes ignored.]
To handle courtly duties when in my sleep clothing is rather uncouth.
[But he laughs, raising an eyebrow. He begins to walk over to the wardrobe]
You're very bold, are all Fae like that? Is this something I will have to grow used to?
[ With his hair sleep mussed, the clothes wrinkled and draped on him. Adorable! His adorable little darling. He wants to coo at him.
Instead he watches him walk to the wardrobe, moving to sit himself on the foot of the bed, legs folded under him, his wings lax behind him. ]
Oh yes. We do not have the same human reservations when it comes to admiring what we wish to admire, but we're fully aware humans do have those reservations. So many of us use it to tease or make situations awkward, or funny. It's amusing when humans are so shy, but then let their greed through in other ways. We declare it false modesty.
[ And he will indeed watch Seamus, curious what lays under those clothes. ]
[That actually makes him laugh and he will hide a little the way his face pinks with him being given such an open compliment. Hm! He kind of likes being told he looks lovely! By this man! Who he may be marrying in a few hours!]
[He does listen to him explain, though. That matches some of what he's read.]
My dear, would you mind getting the curtains? I would prefer that only you saw me.
[And then like he didn't just drop the apple of discord in front of Viri he will start shucking his sleeping gown.]
"False Modesty" hm! I do have to agree with you, when you put it like that. It is fascinating where we are uptight in some instances and not in others. Is there not something the Fae consider themselves "shy" in?
[ That makes him laugh and he snaps his fingers, the curtains drawing themselves quickly to block out the sights. In the same moment, the candles around the room light themselves, their fire and glow a soft gold instead of the normal color.
And Viri's eyes glow as well, vibrant in the candle light, dancing with their own inner light. A sort of possessiveness coming to them. ]
And so only I shall.
[ There's a tone to his voice too, the same sort of possessiveness there. No one else will now get to see Seamus without his clothing on. Servants or otherwise. It has been spoken into law.
The question makes him laugh. ]
Aha, asking me outright for our weaknesses? How devious a ploy!
[ He unfolds his legs and stands from the bed, moving closer to Seamus, but stopping before reaching him. ]
Our private moments are so intrinsically a part of who we truly are deep inside, that we take great pains to keep them private. Lesser Fae have been known to perish from embarrassment from these moments coming to light.
[Oh, the atmosphere has changed and as he turns around to look, holding some article of clothing in his hand he catches that change to Viri's eyes.]
[And then he realizes what happened.]
[It shows on his face a moment, the look of someone who realizes their wallet's been pick pocketed but only has themselves to blame. What will this mean going forward? He doesn't want to think about it. Not- that he particularly enjoys servants dressing him or anything but hm. Hm!]
Oh, I only think it's fair when you seem to know ours so thoroughly!
[But that sounds like a serious answer anyway. Its an interesting one, too.]
I see. Does that mean that if you want alone time, I ought to not interrupt you at all costs?
[ That look on Seamus' face makes him huff a soft little laugh, covering his mouth as he does. Oh, poor darling. He got too comfortable and gave Viri exactly what he wanted. He knows that Seamus knows, too, to reverse it he would owe the other a debt for it.
A little pickle, but one not overtly bad. It just means he has to let his 'dear' be the one to aid him! ]
Oh no, not at all. Once we are married, you are part of my 'private moments' from then on out. You will get to see the true hidden me that I keep so secret.
[ ... Which Seamus will find out isn't very different from what he sees already but! He doesn't need to know that yet. He flutters over, smiling and holding his hands out for the piece of clothing Seamus chose. ]
Let me help! I know human clothing is so complicated!
