This is Shadow Milk's Opt-in/out! It is here for multiple reasons!
1. If you want to opt out of dealing with this guy completely, let me know! He sucks! He has a history of Atrocities not limited to orchestrating wars, facilitating human (cookie) experimentation, forging memories to manipulate others, and killing with little regard for life!
2. While I have sealed 90% of his world breaking abilities, he does still have access to some stuff, so here you can opt in/out for some of that!
Shadow Milk holds the Light of Deceit, which is the opposite of Pure Vanilla's Light of Truth. Like is sounds, he can see into your heart and see all the little lies you tell yourself, deny yourself, or wrap yourself in. His Soul Jam is largely depleted so it's function is only surface level currently.
3. He is also telepathic, but heavily scaled down, so if you would like to tell me any amusing surface thoughts he might glean from your character, that's fun, too. Give him some gossip, he needs his soaps.

Telepathy Opt In/Out: Opting in. It really depends on how they first come across each other but things he could learn is that she was created to be a god's daughter, but being a "daughter" meant acting the role of a child for all eternity, pretending to be emotionally and mentally stunted, and following her every word and serving her in every way possible (which often included killing people). IT'S HARD TO SURMISE IT ALL SHORTLY.
Lace hated this but was also terrified of acting out since she has seen what happens to those who do not follow but she also genuinely loved her mother. That said all the acknowledgement she gained for all her (possibly centuries) of service was nada, zip, zilch, nothing beyond orders and even that was sparing. Eventually she cracked when she saw she was going to be replaced by a "real" bug and actions eventually led to killing said god and a kingdom nearly being destroyed (how much is actually her fault is up for debate, it was not deliberate but she also did not give a fuck).
Light of Deceit: Lace acts very braggadocios and haughty but she hates herself, does not see herself as a living being and really wants to die :) yaaay. She's also gay for that spider she fucking hates.

Light of Deceit: Opting in! Sabriel's feelings about her father are more complicated than she cares to admit. She loves him, but he only contacts her via magic once a month, visits her physically twice a year, and forces her to keep secrets (like being a necromancer) from her friends and teachers.
He's loving and affectionate when he does visit, which further complicates her feelings, because she knows he's away for her safety, and because of his work.
Other: There's more going on with Sabriel's magic than she realizes. She uses two kinds that are supposed to be mutually exclusive.
